You should be pretty familiar with the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium cadence now, which sees the addition of new titles every month – and also the departure of some releases as well. This coming 19th September, 2023, several somewhat high-profile titles will exit Sony’s service, including Deathloop and Watch Dogs 2. It’s possible they could one day return, but this is your last chance to play for now.
The full list of impending departures includes:
- Chicory: A Colourful Tale
- Death End Re;Quest 2
- Deathloop
- Nidhogg 2
- Through the Darkest of Times
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands
- Watch Dogs
- Watch Dogs 2
It should be noted that Ubisoft’s extreme sports open world Steep is also listed for departure on 31st August, although it’s not currently included in the Last Chance to Play section on the PS Store. Remember, you can find all the latest PS Plus arrivals and departures on our dedicated All PS Plus Games page.

Guess I should play Chicory next, then.
@Voltan I had the same thought least Chicory is a lot shorter then Yakuza Kiwami 2 managed to do that in a month.
Is it worth downloading Deathloop for the Golden Loop DLC? Only thing I didnt do on the game
I was a quarter through Yakuza Kiwami 2 before that was removed and was interested in Ghost Recon but guess I won't bother now.
Chicory is a great game and definitely worth doing before it's removed!
Don't like all these game removals though,Red Dead Redemption 2 was another game I quit on because there was no way I was going to finish it.If rather take my time and enjoy games.
Damn, some good games here. One of the drawbacks of subscription services.
@Danloaded as I recall it only took me a very short period of time to complete the DLC.
I just remember enjoying having something else to do in Deathloop - which I do think is a fantastic game.
@Wazeddie22 This is the biggest advantage to those who just have Essential - at least you know the monthly games you're given on that are not going anywhere.
@Wazeddie22
Why dont you buy the games you like and dont have finished.
Both of those games have been on countless sales.
Wish I had the time to play
More games should leave the service in order to free up server storage space for
the new Call of Duty
Thats the issue with ps plus extra and premium.essential ps plus games are always gonna be there.and a lot of those games you can buy it on sale on psn or cheap on ebay.word up son
Damn it, Chicory is longer than I thought!
At leat I beaten Deathloop already. The Watchdogs were in my radar... They will have to wait.
Really surprised the Ubisoft games are leaving, thought Sony had a deal with them to include like Ubisoft+ basic or whatever it's called.
There’s a few on the list that I was curious to try, like Deathloop, Watchdogs, and Chicory, but they are halfway down my priority list so I’ll just have to pass on them. Sony has helped to filter my backlog for me. I can cross some games off my list now. 😄
Deathloop is great, Nidhogg 2 is fun couch gaming, and don't sleep on Ghost Recon: Wildlands. It's actually a fun time for a bit, and with a couple more years of polish and different focus it could've competed with Metal Gear (it certainly emulates it)
@Neverwild @Gamer_Guy Totally agree on the Essential service,my subscription runs out at end of year anyway so will be doing the cheaper version.I
As for buying the games,I don't really have as much time to game as much as id like..if I bought all games I liked the look of my backlog would be huge!I just didant realise so many good games would be removed so often.
@Sensechat i really enjoyed Deathloop aswel but my attention is on many games these days so going back just for dlc is getting a bit tricky lol
I wish they gave 2 month notice on what was leaving so we could prioritize those games.
